Welcome to Hex Battle. By using this app or website ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Hex Battle is a turn-based strategy game with online multiplayer. Because the app includes unrestricted username entry and real-time interaction with other players, it is rated 9+ on the Apple App Store. Users under 13 must have verifiable parental consent before creating a player profile. We recommend all users — especially minors — choose a nickname rather than their real name.
When you first play, an anonymous player profile is created and stored on your device. You may optionally link a Google account for persistence across devices. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and recovery code. We are not responsible for any loss of data if you lose access to your device without a backup code.
You may permanently delete your account at any time from the Profile screen within the app. Deleting your account removes all associated data including your profile, stats, rank, friends list, game history, and achievements. This action cannot be undone.

Quick Match pairs you with another human player when one is available at your skill level. To keep matches fast at quieter times, Quick Match may instead pair you with a Hex Battle AI opponent calibrated to your current Hex Power. AI opponents are drawn from a pool of automated players and use one of our bot personalities under the hood; matches against them count toward your Hex Power, win streak, XP, coins, and stats the same way a human match would. You can opt out of AI matchmaking at any time from Settings → Account → Match with AI when no humans available; with that toggle off, Quick Match will only pair you with real players (and may take longer or time out).
All game content — including board themes, avatars, sound effects, bot personalities, and visual assets — is owned by Hex Battle. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any game content without written permission.
The only user-generated content on Hex Battle is your player name and your choice of avatar from a fixed set. In-game communication between players is limited to a fixed set of developer-controlled emoji reactions; there is no free-text chat.
We actively moderate usernames using an automated profanity and impersonation filter at account creation, at every username change, and on our backend. You may report any player whose name or behavior violates these Terms by opening their profile card and tapping the Report button. You may also block any player to immediately stop all contact from them.
We commit to reviewing all player reports within 24 hours and to take appropriate action — which may include renaming, temporary suspension, or permanent ban — on any account we find in violation. Decisions are at our sole discretion.
Hex Battle is currently free to play with no in-app purchases. We may introduce optional cosmetic purchases (such as board themes or profile customizations) in a future version. If and when in-app purchases are added, these Terms will be updated and the in-app purchase rules of the distributing platform (Apple App Store, etc.) will apply — any purchased items will have no real-world monetary value and cannot be transferred or traded.
We strive to keep Hex Battle available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime or changes to the Service.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or available at any particular time.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hex Battle and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of game progress, or interruption of service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
